In this article we show you the 10 best reasons for buying an e-bike or pedelec.

An e-bike or pedelec protects the environment

Thanks to various statistics, we know that up to 60% of all car journeys are less than 6 km long. Such short distances are ideally covered by an electric bike - this avoids noise and exhaust fumes.

You also have the advantage of avoiding any traffic jams in city traffic and looking for a parking space is also a thing of the past. The big plus - your health is not neglected in the truest sense of the word.

The running costs of an e-bike are very manageable

The purchase costs of an e-bike vary greatly and are not necessarily higher than those of a conventional bicycle - you can find great offers in our online shop. The drive train of our models is comparable to that of a normal bicycle and therefore does not require a lot of maintenance.

The cost of charging the battery is also not significant - you can find a charging cost calculator here. The battery also lasts for around 1,000 charging cycles, which corresponds to a range of around 45,000 km or once around the globe - respect!

In terms of maintenance and operating costs, due to performance and possible uses, we challenge small motorcycles and cars in city traffic. It doesn't take many words to realize that an electric bike is much cheaper and more environmentally friendly.

Safety is a constant companion of an e-bike

The greatest uncertainty when cycling is the moment between starting and full speed, because the centrifugal force of the wheels only really comes into play as the speed increases. With an electric bike, you are much faster and more flexible thanks to the electric motor. The Pedelec, S-Pedelec or E-Bike is therefore always up to operating speed quickly - this provides safety.

This is particularly useful when negotiating intersections and starting uphill - but with our starting aid (link internal blog) this is also great fun. Don't hesitate - get excited about a great e-bike from our online shop.

      The e-bike promotes health

Current research results show that owners of electric bikes spend three times more time on the vehicle than users of a conventional bike. This clearly shows that an e-bike is used and taken advantage of much more - riding is simply not as strenuous and is therefore much more enjoyable.

The electric drive does take a lot of work off the driver, but the advantage of more frequent use is good for our health.

Feel like a pro – even when climbing mountains

That doesn’t sound very credible or obvious – But it is still there! With a good electric bike, you can make mountains much flatter and more manageable, and at a rapid speed. The average speed is increased and the ride comfort increases. You won't break a sweat, but will get that pro feeling straight away.

Keep a cool head and stay fresh

For the ambitious amateur cyclist, sweating while cycling is a desired effect. At work, however, a sweaty shirt is not particularly well received by colleagues or customers. But that is now a thing of the past.

With an electric bike, you can easily counteract the rising body temperature as needed and switch on the driving assistance. It also makes it easier for everyone to wear a bicycle helmet and set an example.

Protect the environment and do so sustainably

There are many opinions about sustainability in circulation. But with an electric bike you are without a doubt sustainable. You can even buy electricity from a green provider or produce it yourself using solar cells. The biggest aspect, however, is that the car stops more often.

      Agile, fast and dynamic progress

Theoretically, cars and motorcycles are worlds better than electric bicycles. However, this is only partially true, for example on motorways or long cross-country routes. In the city and on short journeys, the tables turn and the secret weapon, the e-bike, comes into play.

Too much traffic in cities often leads to traffic jams and diversions. With an electric bike, you can quickly and flexibly decide which route you want to take and effortlessly bypass any traffic jam during rush hour. You are much more flexible with a Pedelec.

      Stable resale value

Thanks to the new, sophisticated technology and environmental friendliness, e-bikes are right on trend. Due to rising costs, many road users are looking for cheaper alternatives. This increases the resale value.

You can start right away without any insurance costs

The Pedelec is handled and classified like a conventional bicycle. This means there are no insurance costs or motor vehicle inspection.
