Road bike from MYVELO

The features of a MYVELO racing bike are designed for rapid tours and a fast riding style. Speed and sporty riding are just two of the special characteristics of the racing bike. Asphalt is the home of racing bikes. On the smooth surface, you can achieve top sporting performance with them.

The unique features of a racing bike are clear advantages for many athletes. The lightweight frame made of high-quality materials, combined with an adapted frame geometry, is the ideal starting model for sporty routes.

The racing bike's low weight and geometry ensure excellent performance. In addition, a racing bike with high-precision gears and safe brakes ensures safety on fast rides.

Buy the right racing bike online

There are a few things you should consider so that you can buy a good racing bike online. The gears are an important part of the equipment. A high-quality model such as the Shimano Di2 wireless gear system guarantees safe and precise gear shifting even when riding fast. With the different variants Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105, it offers great advantages for professional riders and ambitious hobby riders. If you pay attention to high-quality tubeless tires, you will be safe and controlled on the road.

To ensure you get the best riding experience with a racing bike, you can customize our Verona and Tourmalet models. The gear group, wheels and size can be customized on our Verona and Tourmalet models. This means you can decide for yourself which features are important for your racing bike.

If you also pay attention to the right frame size, practical tubeless tires and the weight of the racing bike, nothing stands in the way of a successful online purchase of your new racing bike.

The stylish MYVELO Verona road bike

The MYVELO Verona racing bike is designed for lightness. With the Verona racing bike you get a racing bike that is geared towards an optimized wind tunnel. By eliminating the cables, up to 7 watts can be saved. The large tubes provide additional stability.

The special feature of the Verona Aero racing bike is reduced air resistance while riding. The adapted head tube ensures a flat and aerodynamic seating position.

Verona road bike frameset – complete your perfect equipment

The Verona racing bike frame set is ideal for anyone who wants to customize and optimize their racing bike. The frame set is available in different sizes and can be customized to your needs with matching wheels, saddle and other equipment.

MYVELO Tormalet road bike for fast rides

The MYVELO Tourmalet bike was developed as a mountain racing bike and is lighter than the Verona.

As with the Verona, you have the choice and can select between different gear groups, wheels and frame sizes. This means you can adapt both models to your individual needs.

Ensures safety - the electric radio gearshift from Shimano

Our MYVELO racing bikes are equipped with an electric DI2 wireless gearshift from Shimano. Anyone who travels on straight roads and at high speeds needs a reliable gearshift. The electronic 12-speed gearshift ensures precise and fast gear changes.

Another reason why mechanical gears are not used is the design. The clean look is achieved by eliminating the cable routing on the frame. The hydraulic brake line is also installed inside the frame. The hidden cable design guarantees a minimalist and sporty look.

To ensure that the wireless circuits are supplied with power, they should be charged regularly. The ability to charge the wireless circuit via USB is particularly practical.

Dura-Ace, Ultegra or 105 groupset - the choice is yours

If you decide on our racing bike, you can choose between Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105 gears. The difference between the three gear groups is in the weight and design. With the Dura-Ace variant, you save around 250-300 grams compared to the Ultegra gears. Made from a complete component, optionally with a power meter and a 54/40 crank, the variant is suitable for professional riders.

With the Ultegra you get a two-part model in the gradations 11-30 and 11-34. If you decide on a power meter for the Shimano Ultegra, it offers you a high level of accuracy.

The 105 DI2 is the best option for you if you are looking for the best price-performance ratio. The 105 gear system is strong competition to the previously cheapest electric gear system, the SRAM Rival eTap AXS, and has many advantages in comparison. The ergonomics, design and functions can keep up with those of the slightly more expensive Dura-Ace and Ultegra models. A great plus point of this gear system is that the distance between the brake lever and handlebar is comfortable for large hands and offers a secure grip.

Frame, fork, seat post, handlebars - important features for buying a racing bike

Whether it's the frame, fork, seat post or handlebars, our MYVELO racing bikes Verona and Tourmalet offer you many options for individual customization and ensure a great riding experience. The gear group and the wheels can be selected and combined according to your own ideas on both models.

Both myvélo models are designed for sporty riders who like to ride fast routes. Thanks to the individual adjustment options and the design, the bikes can always be adapted to your own performance.

If you are travelling fast, high-quality pedals with a power meter are a real must. We use Wahoo power meters in this area because they have proven to be particularly reliable, precise and powerful.

The size of the racing bikes plays a key role in ensuring good riding comfort. In our range we differentiate between frame sizes S, M, L and XL. These sizes have been adapted to different body sizes. An S frame is ideal for a body height of 150-165 cm. You need size M for a body height of 165-180 and L is suitable for sizes between 180-195 cm. If you are 195-210 cm tall, frame size XL is recommended.

For the perfect equipment - high-quality racing bike wheels and tires

The tires and wheels of a racing bike play a crucial role when it comes to setting new records on the road. To make this even easier, we use components from DT Swiss, Zipp wheels and Mavic wheels in our models.

The premium wheels from Zipp meet all the requirements for aerodynamic wheels. Thanks to the latest technologies, a Zipp wheel offers outstanding performance and long durability.

If you want to get the best price-performance ratio with your model, Mavic wheels are the better choice. As a traditional manufacturer in the field of wheels and other bike accessories, the wheels combine a good price with high-quality materials.

Driving your road bike safely and efficiently with a tubeless tire

Driving your road bike safely and efficiently with a tubeless tire

The special feature of tubeless wheels is their construction. As tubeless tires, the racing bike wheels are reliably airtight without an additional tube. The clear advantages of tubeless tires are speed, grip, comfort and safety in the event of a puncture. Puncture safety is achieved by inserting a sealant inside the tubeless tire. If the tire is damaged, the small hole is sealed directly thanks to the agent in the tire.

If you do not use an additional tube, as is the case with tubeless tires, the friction is reduced and the rolling resistance is significantly lower. If the air pressure in the tire drops, you can continue riding with this system without any loss of performance. Even in critical situations, you remain in control with a tubeless tire.

An electric wireless shifting system is particularly recommended for a racing bike. A high-quality model is the DI2 wireless shifting system from Shimano, which is available in various versions.

A tubeless wheel is a special wheel design. A tubeless tire does not require an additional tube and is filled with a sealing compound. This ensures a high level of puncture resistance and therefore more control when driving.

The size of a racing bike depends on your height. Many manufacturers use frame sizes S, M, L and XL. If you are between 165 and 180 cm tall, it is best to choose an M frame. Size XL is suitable for a height of 195 to 210 cm.

A gravel bike is a versatile road bike that is specifically designed for mixed terrain - from asphalt to gravel paths. It offers more stability and comfort compared to a classic road bike and is often equipped with wider tires. Road bikes, on the other hand, are designed for speed on smooth roads and are lighter than most gravel bikes.

A carbon frame is the first choice for many racing cyclists because it is light and stiff, which leads to better power transfer and more speed. The shock absorption of the carbon frame is also excellent - the material absorbs vibrations and thus ensures greater comfort, especially on long distances. For ambitious riders who regularly go on longer tours on asphalt or take part in races, the extra cost is often worth it.

However, a carbon frame is not always the best choice for everyday use. It is more sensitive to strong impacts and falls: while aluminum and steel frames often remain undamaged after tipping over, carbon can develop cracks that affect the stability of the frame. In everyday use, where the racing bike is often parked on bumpy paths or leaned against lampposts and railings, a carbon frame could be less robust than an aluminum frame. In addition, a less sensitive material may be more suitable for daily commuting or in cities where the bike often has to be secured.

Some carbon road bikes are suitable for light gravel, but not for particularly demanding, rocky routes. If you often ride on mixed terrain, you should choose either a special gravel bike or a robust carbon road bike with appropriate tires. A pure carbon road bike could be damaged more quickly on gravel paths.
