The MYVELO Procycling Team from Oberkirch put in an impressive performance at the UCI 1.1 race in Isbergues, France, on Sunday (September 15, 2024). With a race over 200 km and top-class competition on the course, including seven Tour de France teams, the team faced a major challenge.

Here are the highlights of the exciting race day.

Strong competition on the international stage

At the race in Isbergues, the MYVELO team met some of the best teams in the world. Well-known Tour de France teams such as Decathlon, Alpecin-Deceuninck, Groupama-FDJ, Cofidis, Arkea, Lotto-Dstny and Israel Premier Tech were at the start. Eight other pro teams that could secure a place in the Tour de France through wildcards were also represented.

For the MYVELO team, this was an excellent opportunity to compete with the best at the highest level and gain valuable experience.

Fast-paced race from the start

The race started at a high pace and quickly developed into a real test of strength. The speed was rarely below 50 km/h, which underlined the enormous pressure on all riders. The MYVELO team did not remain passive, but was active from the start, repeatedly attempting to break away from the main field through attacks.

Despite the team's aggressive riding style, the race pace was ultimately so high that no rider managed to make a decisive escape from the peloton. Nevertheless, the MYVELO team held on until the finale and showed fighting spirit.

Exciting finale with strong MYVELO riders

In the thrilling final sprint, Dutch rider Arvid de Kleijn from the Tudor Procycling Team secured victory. The MYVELO team was strongly represented in the final, and Timon Loderer, the best rider on his team, crossed the finish line just a few seconds behind the winner.

The race ended with a time of 4 hours and 35 minutes, which corresponds to an impressive average speed of 44.5 km/h. This performance shows that the MYVELO team can keep up with the best.

Conclusion: MYVELO impresses at an international level

The UCI 1.1 race in Isbergues was an important step for the MYVELO Procycling Team on the way to establishing itself in the highest league of cycling. Despite the strong competition, the team was not only able to hold its own, but also actively intervene in the race and had three riders at the front until the final.

With this strong performance, the MYVELO team looks confidently towards the upcoming races and further challenges.
