Your tour begins at the impressive Ortenberg Castle, which towers majestically over the town of the same name. The castle, which was built in the 11th century and rebuilt in the 19th century in the neo-Gothic style, offers a fantastic view over the Rhine plain and the surrounding vineyards. Here you can get a feel for the history of the region and admire the impressive architecture.
Before you leave, you should definitely take a walk through the well-kept castle gardens. The view from up here is spectacular, especially in clear weather, and stretches as far as the Vosges.

The last stage of your tour takes you back to Ortenberg. You drive through the rolling hills of the Ortenau, past small villages and through wide fields. The route offers another opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the region to the fullest.
After about another hour you will reach Ortenberg Castle again, where your tour began. Now you have the opportunity to end the day in a relaxed manner, perhaps with another walk through the castle gardens or dinner in one of the nearby restaurants.
